The Bannockburn Inn is closed from 24th of September to the 26th of September for a short holiday. However, we will be open Monday and Tuesday the 22nd and 23rd, re-opening on Saturday the 27th as normal with Mondays being closed.

The Bannockburn Inn is a traditional Inn offering food, drink and self catering accommodation, situated conveniently on the NC500 route on the A9 in Helmsdale. We are privately owned and pride ourselves on being family friendly. We have our own car park with space for up to four large or six small campervans. For the cyclist, there is safe storage. We are ideally located for fishing enthusiasts as we are within walking distance of The River Helmsdale. The Inn is a perfect refreshment stop on your journey north to Orkney or John O'Groats (Taigh Iain Ghròt), or south to Inverness. You can sit and relax in our beer garden (weather permitting) our lounge or public bar, enjoy a drink with friends, connect to our WiFi to update your blog, before going through to our restaurant for your meal. For walkers, we are on the John O'Groats Trail which takes you on the most magnificent cliff walks and affords you great views out across the sea to Tain/ Nigg and the Black Isle. For those less adventurous we have shorter local walks which also give you spectacular views over the village and up the Strath of Kildonnan and the Helmsdale River.
