Andy Fordham, the former world darts champion, opened the newly refurbished Tartan Lounge Bar and Restaurant in May 2011, which is recognised for serving award winning steaks from the Mey Selections of whom His Royal Highness The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay is the patron. The lounge bar and restaurant had again been refurbished ready for Christmas 2020, a lonely scene, however, we are ready to welcome you during your visit whether you are on the NC500, gold paning, fishing or just taking in the spectacular views of the Scottish Highlands.
Our lounge bar provides an ideal meeting place for holidaymakers on the Lejog, Jogle or explorers of the NC500, the new North Coast touring route - either way it is time to celebrate with a Mey Selection steak cooked perfectly to your liking. Our restaurant and comfortable lounge bar are suitable for special events, making us ideal for birthday parties and other functions and get-togethers. The restaurant can also be set up as a meeting room or for conferences and training events for up to 25 people seated or buffet style up to 60 guests. During the summer catering can be taken outside into our garden. Al fresco dining is a must on that special day when the sun is shining..
Our guests can enjoy choosing from our menu of starters, main courses and tempting desserts. Daily specials and a selection of children’s meals are also available. We have a drinks menu and a comprehensive whisky menu. Following your meal it is suggested that you visit our Whisky Bar where you will find a large selection of Highland malts. It is assumed that the Covid-19 restrictions will be around for some time so it is recommend that you book in advance.
